About Us

Moorland Marbling Company is a small business based in Northern Canterbury, on the South Island of New Zealand. 

Our aim is to elevate paper marbling beyond traditional uses, such as book binding, and share this beautiful art form in contemporary compositions.

Each item we offer is individually hand made in our studio to exacting standards. We use professional grade acrylic and metallic paints on high quality papers. In addition to our listed stock, we work closely with clients to create bespoke pieces.

Wherever possible we strive to lessen our environmental footprint by reducing waste.  All usable off cuts and scraps are turned into business cards and smaller pieces are shredded to make colourful packaging material.
